I tried these delicious Onion Masala Kulchas from Nisha’s blog Masala MoJo and they came out amazing. Made the no-yeast version and still came out soft and perfect.
Very happy with the results, if you like kulchas with chhole or paneer curry, you must try this easy peasy no-fail recipe๐๐๐๐๐
Thank you so much Nisha for sharing this beautiful recipeโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Kulche are an amazing Indian bread. Itโs soft, stretchy, and incredibly tasty. I love how India has a big diversity of flatbreads with the universal rotis or chappatis, the Khoba roti from Rajasthan, Kulche, Naan, and Lachha parathas from Punjab, Rumali rotis from Lucknow, Parotta from Kerala, and so on. I made these Onion Kulche [โฆ]
We were in the mood for some hot hot dal and dipped-in-ghee batis when I decided I should search for some variation and I am so glad I did!! I found this recipe on my favourite blog ๐
Very simple to make but came out “Ohh!! So delicious” ๐
Every body at my place loved these stuffed batis and this dish is definitely going to be a regular one now.
Additionally I added some “makki ka aata“, ajwain and saunf to the dough.
For the filling, I added some poundedcoriander seeds as well.
We had the leftover batis with tea as well ๐๐๐๐
Thank you so much Deeksha for sharing this gem โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐
Stuffed Baati is a traditional Rajasthani savoury dish. It is prepared with wheat flour, and stuffed with boiled potatoes mix. Traditionally, stuffed baati is a roasted dish and later it is immersed in melted desi ghee (clarified butter) which gives it a wonderful combination of crispy outer layer and softer insides. Most of the times I like to order Mutton and chicken from Fresh to Home but this time we tried ordering some fish.
September is here and we were craving for some fresh and safe fish. Usually, buying fish is somewhat tricky especially for people like me who do not have much knowledge of buying fish, How and what to check and all!!
I searched on the Fresh To Home app and saw some fillets of Tilapia, Cobia, Queen fish and Sail fish. Finally ordered some Tilapia fish fillets.
(There are many types of boneless/ single boned fishes available in the market but we prefer fishes with scales and hence I chose Tilapia)
Take a look at some interesting non vegetarian recipes here and here.
Let’s start the review.
Their Claim:
Juicy Indian Tilapia Boneless Fillet – 250g+ Pack (Freshly Frozen)
Tilapia is a fish with such a rich history that the Egyptians considered it as a symbol of rebirth and all mummies used to be packed with the Tilapia symbol. In modern times, its taste is so rich that a couple of re-births are worth the Tilapia. The Fillet is wild caught, chemical free and freshly frozen.
My first question was: Is Tilapia safe to consume? I had read a lot about how it is farmed and it is not safe but when I read this line “The Fillet is wild-caught, chemical-free and freshly frozen” I was satisfied.
Price: โน299.00 /pack for 250 gms Packaging: 3 pieces of fresh fillets of Tilapia fish were packed in a clear plastic packaging.
Shelf life: The package did not have any sticker with the information. On asking the customer care team, they said they were having some problem with their sticker machine. I intended to make the fish fillets that same day so I didn’t really mind about the storage information.
I marinated the fish fillets with lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chili powder and some packaged fish fry masala. After marinating for an hour, I coated the fish fillets in a mix of rawa and rice flour and fried it on the tawa with some oil.
Result: The fish fillets did not have any fishy smell, I was pleasantly surprised. Also, because these were fillets, it did not have any bones which is a huge plus point for us.
Overall SR Rating: 4.5/5 Taste: 5/5 Smell: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Ease of Use: 5/5 Packaging: 4/5 (1 point less for not providing the relevant information)
Will I repurchase: Definitely Availability: Available on app and website
Have you tried ordering seafood from FreshToHome? How was the experience and what fish did you order? Do let me know in the comments section ๐

Roughly, this project starts with a chain of 102 simple chains, and then it is folded and joined for round 2 and then you have to keep working on increasing those 102 stitches.
Making only the roll case is comparatively simple and a beginner can easily attempt it but making the Ammonite part is slightly tricky.
A very detailed written post is available on Dedris’s blog here.
Tips from a Beginner to the Beginners:
– Always go for a multi-colored yarn when you are a beginner and trying to make a project which involves a lot of counting.
– The different colors makes it easy to remember counts.
– Make the first starting chain a little loose, preferably with a bigger hook, else the starting chain will be tight and the next double crochet will be loose making the work look curved.
Also known as “Queen of the Night”, this mysterious flower blooms rarely and can be seen bloomed only in night. It has a distinct smell, some find it fragrant and some find it obnoxious.
Our brahmakamal first bloomed in July but somehow we missed to see it. The next morning when we realized that it had bloomed, we were very disappointed.
This time we kept checking on the small plant and it bloomed in front of us, what a beautiful sight !!!
Some facts about Brahmakamal:
It is known to bring good luck
It has a distinct smell
It can be propagated with a leaf, We got a leaf from our gardener and stuck it in the soil and it came ๐
We got some basil from bigbasket and tried to grow it. And Look, it is growing and flourishing ๐
Look how beautifully it is growing.
We noticed that one of the sprigs of basil we bought from bigbasket looked quiet strong, and because we love growing everything and anything, we experimented by sticking the stem in a very small pot.
After some days, it started growing ๐ Yeayyyy ๐
So after growing chilies, tomatoes, curry leaves, mint and clusterbeans, we have this teeny tiny basil plant.
Do you like/do container gardening? What all have you tried growing? Do let me know in the comments.
Reblogging: Something to ponder about and take note of-
One of the positive regulatory step taken by Govt. of India, via FSSAI notification is implementation of used oil regulation 2018, which prohibits use of reused oil which has total polar greater than 25%. (Under FSSAI RUCO initiative). Many FBOs are unclear about its implementation. This article is about giving little more clarity on this [โฆ]
When you want some mutton keema kebabs, you either order those out or make some right?
When you google out a recipe, it calls for some ingredients and you just start cooking right?
So take out the paan ki jad, khas ki jad, pathar ke phool, pipla, peepli, mace, anise, cardamom, flowers, leaves, papayas, kewras, roses and so on??
No no no, I am just kidding ๐
This is not the authentic galauti kebabs of Lucknow because I don’t have those 150 spices (I don’t have the list even, it’s a secret you know :P) nor I have the whole day to spare on a dish that vanishes in 10 minutes flat๐๐๐๐
